Over the last few years, we've witnessed the rise and rise of the hag do. Particularly popular with 30-something brides and grooms, hag dos are basically joint hen and stag parties. Whether this is a stroke of genius or a travesty depends on what you're into.
If you want a traditional stag weekend with strippers and the full works, hag dos probably aren't for you. However, if the thought of a full on stag doesn't fill you with joy, it could be worth looking into.
There are no rules per se for hag dos. All you're doing is sharing the pre-nuptial celebrations with your bride to be and your shared mates. One of the pros is that it's a chance for absolutely everyone under the age of 50 to get together and let their hair down before the wedding.
If a mixed stag party with guys and girls sounds like your idea of a good time, there are plenty of places to go. There's also a lot more to hag dos than renting a country house or pitching a load of tents in a field.
Rent a Villa in Ibiza
If there are 10 or more of you and a clubbing weekend in Ibiza is on the cards, rent a villa and save Euros. Splitting the cost of a swanky pad with terrace and pool is often cheaper or certainly no more expensive than booking hotel rooms. If you want to celebrate in first class style, it's also worth looking into renting a townhouse up in the Montevideo Hills just outside Puerto Banus.
